What I like about Zali is that she is very relatable. Mind, I am no longer a sixteen-year old girl (yeah, I admit it) but reading Zali Luna's story brings back those tingly vibes we get when we see or we are with our crushes. And, the ways it's certified that you've got a crush on someone:
☑ You just can't can't can't get rid of the silly butterflies you've eaten whenever your around them. Where do the butterflies come from anyway and what business do they have in your tummy right?
☑ You just smile, laugh, try to think of the best lines and answers when you're talking to them to the point that you forget what you're actually talking about.
☑ You become really REALLY clumsy for no reason. I guess the wires are trippin' on you that day.
☑ You try to get someone else's attention so that your crush would notice you. (and sometimes that's your best guy buddy--for her, it's Harry)
☑ When in fact, it's not actually the movie star that makes the butterflies go loco, it's the guy (AKA THE RIGHT GUY FOR YOU) you try to practice on for the FIRST KISS OF YOUR LIFETIME.
☑ Oh, and also be prepared for that snarky rival of yours who's out to get you (but is she really?)
Zali Luna is a very lighthearted YA novel. If you're into daydreaming about that hot actor, the boy band and that awesome musician you've always got dibs on with your friends, this is an awesome book for you. Zali Luna makes the ordinary extraordinary as Zali gets the ultimate adventure (and fairy-tale worthy first kiss) of her lifetime.
