Sometimes, the rabbit hole is deeper than expected . . .
Alice Reeve and Finn Van Brunt have tumbled into a life of secrets. Some secrets they share, such as their employment by the clandestine organization known as The Collectors’ Society. Other secrets they carry within them, fighting to keep buried the things that could change everything they think they know.
On the hunt for an elusive villain who is hell-bent on destroying legacies, Alice, Finn, and the rest of the Society are desperate to unravel the mysteries surrounding them. But the farther they spiral down this rabbit hole, the deeper they fall into secrets that will test their loyalties and pit them against enemies both new and old.
Secrets, they come to find, can reveal the deadliest of truths.

In this sequel, Finn and Alice will face a unlike any other
challenge they faced that will test their relationship and also to their respective
Timelines.
We have discovered Alice’s past during The Collectors’ Society
but will Finn be willing to share his past? We will see how the partners will go
on a journey in discovering the mysteries behind the questions they uncovered
from TCS. Is Rosemary Lovett and Sweeney Todd, who they say they are? Will they
be able to solve those unanswered queries when they have problems of their own?
TCS left us with zealous anticipation on what the answers are.
From my review of The Collectors’ Society, I wrote how I
loved all of the aspects of the book, especially The White King. *wink* I can’t
say this book outdid the first one since for me, reading into the world of TCS
for the first time was a magical thing. But I can say that THL explored what
TCS left behind. It retained the fun side of things even when there are warfare
going on in some of the Timelines.
I liked that there’s a representative for fangirls. You’ll
know it when you read about it. I sure hope to read of that character more. I
loved that we are now seeing into Finn’s life before the Society. We can get a
glimpse of his childhood and also see Mark Twain’s characters in a new light.
His life and Alice’s is a big contrast to each other. Not in the means of the
degree in hardships they faced but how they grew up and what they’ve
experienced. No wonder they’re perfect for each other.
I loved that we delve into these Timelines that have
different periods/era. We get to read characters from classics long after what
we’ve read about them. All the while, having fun and laughing at the witty
dialogues of the characters and much more with the regal & poised threats
and lines of Alice.
The Hidden Library is about the love you discover while
falling and the friendship you come across while climbing out the rabbit hole.
Where can I apply to be part of the Society?
