She has a destiny so great that even the gods fear her.

Constant hallucinations and the frequent conversations with the voices in her head, have earned eighteen-year-old Chloe Clever the not-so-coveted title of "Whack Job" in her home town of Adel, Georgia. Fed up with prescription meds and therapists, she wishes for a life where she is destined to be more than the butt of everyone's jokes and mockery.

Be careful what you wish for has never rung more true.

After a vicious attack and learning that her favorite rockstar is an Olympian god, she is thrust into her new life as the Oracle of Delphi, the prophesier of the future. Setting out to fulfill the prophecy she has been given, Chloe learns of how great she is to become, all the while fighting mythical monsters and trying to outwit the ever-cunning Greek gods who harbor secrets of their own. While on a mission to discover the Most Beautiful, she strives to uncover the mysteries of the demigod Prince who has sworn to protect her with his life…and threatens to win her heart in the process.

My expression after reading this book

This book has all the bells, whistles, wind chimes and fireworks that a reader could ever want.
I honestly can't stop reading it.
I'm rarely into demigods, goddesses and gods (except for Mythology by Edith Hamilton) when it comes to novels. I already find the stories, relationships and trysts of the gods and goddesses with human beings interesting. That is why, I am really not used to those YA novels featuring these gods at a better light.

UNTIL NOW.
Prophecy of the Most Beautiful centers on Chloe Clever, an ordinary pretty girl who's not so ordinary after all as she discovers that she is the oracle of Delphi. Chloe was given a prophecy and, together with the demigods and a certain Sun prince, Chloe will be snatched from the ordinary life she lead and be tossed into the amazing world of what was only known then as mythology.

I must say, hands down to Miss Diantha Jones for her outstanding and detailed description of Myth, the character build-up and let's not forget the crescendo of action and suspense all with a dash of romance added.

A PERFECT COMBINATION.

What I like most about this book is its loyalty to how the gods and goddesses operate especially the way they treat beings inferior to their divine selves. It did not sugarcoat anything, particularly the scenes where the prophecy was fulfilled. Gods operate in two ways: anger them and you'd suffer; praise them and you'd receive your proper due.

If you're into Percy Jackson, Starcrossed and the Goddess Test series, and is looking for the nitty gritty  then this book is for you!

"I thought once the Fates decided your destiny, it couldn't change."

"Nice, my boy, real nice. You make this old god of Thieves proud. Pay for nothing! Pilfer everything! That's my philosophy!"

Diantha Jones was born the day thousands of turkeys sacrificed their lives to fill millions of American bellies on November 22 which also happened to be Thanksgiving Day (Her mother says she owes her a turkey). She is a Journalism graduate who wants to be a career novelist (of books, not Facebook posts). When not writing or working, she is reading on her Nook, being hypnotized by Netflix or on a mission to procure french fries.

The Oracle of Delphi fantasy series is her first series. She is also the author of Mythos: Stories from Olympus, a companion series, and there is another fantasy series in the works. She also writes (new) adult fantasy/paranormal romance under the name A. Star. Invasion (An Alien Romance) is her first title released under this pen name. Future releases under A. Star include, the Love & Steampunk series, the Purr, Inc. stories, and more. Friend/Fan her at www.goodreads.com/A_Star.

Title: Conspiracy Girl
Author: Sarah Alderson
Release Date: February 19, 2015
AMAZON
Everybody knows about the Cooper Killings – the Bel Air home invasion that rocked the nation.
There was only one survivor - a sixteen year-old girl.
And though the killers were caught they walked free.

Now eighteen, Nic Preston - the girl who survived - is trying hard to rebuild her life. She’s security conscious to the point of paranoia and her only friend is a French Mastiff bulldog, but she’s making progress. She’s started college in New York and has even begun dating.

But then one night her apartment is broken into and the life Nic’s worked so hard to create is shattered in an instant.

Finn Carter - hacker, rule breaker, player – is the last person Nic ever wants to see again. He’s the reason her mother’s killers walked free from court. But as the people hunting her close in, Nic has to accept that her best and possibly only chance of staying alive is by keeping close to Finn and learning to trust the person she’s sworn to hate.

Fleeing across a snowbound New England, frantically trying to uncover the motive behind the murders, Nic and Finn come to realize the conspiracy is bigger than they could ever have suspected. But the closer they get to the truth and the closer they get to each other, the greater the danger becomes.

To survive she has to stay close to him.
To keep her safe he has to keep his distance.
Exclusive Extract:
Finn is sitting at a swivel chair in front of them. One hand taps commands on a keyboard, while the other is sticking a spoon into a jar of something that sits wedged between his thighs. With a sharp pang of betrayal I see Goz is lying at his feet. Finn holds out the spoon laden with what looks like peanut butter and Goz snarfs it down.

Anger propels me to my feet. Just the sight of Finn feeding my dog makes me want to hurl something at him. I march towards them.

Finn looks up and smiles. ‘Morning,’ he says, before reaching to pat Goz on the head.

I glare at my dog who ignores me, too busy trying to lick the spoon clean of every trace of Skippy.

‘You’re feeding him peanut butter?’ I ask.

Finn looks at the jar and then at the spoon which Goz is in danger of swallowing whole. He shrugs. ‘Yeah, he likes it.’ He holds the jar out to me. ‘Want some?’ he asks.
Having spent most of her life in London, Sarah quit her job in the non profit sector in 2009 and took off on a round the world trip with her husband and princess-obsessed daughter on a mission to find a new place to call home. After several months in India, Singapore, Australia and the US, they settled in Bali where Sarah now spends her days writing by the pool and trying to machete open coconuts without severing a limb.
She finished her first novel, Hunting Lila (winner of the Kingston Book Award), just before they left the UK, wrote the sequel on the beach in India and had signed a two book deal with Simon & Schuster by the time they had reached Bali.

A third book, Fated, about a teenage demon slayer, was published in January 2012.

The Sound, a thriller romance set in Nantucket, was published in August 2013 and this was followed by the critically acclaimed Out of Control in May 2014.

She also writes New Adult romance for Pan Macmillan (UK) / Simon & Schuster (US) under the pen name Mila Gray.

Checked is the first book in a new trilogy.

Callie spends countless hours staring at appliances to make sure they are really unplugged. She wastes obscene amounts of time checking for murderers in various corners of her house and entire sleepless nights performing pointless checking rituals. Then every spare minute is filled with inspecting doorknobs, chairs, floors, etc. for minuscule traces of germs. Oh, and she does all of this as she counts to three over and over again in her head. She does this every day. Without fail. Dr. Blake just doesn’t fit into her schedule. Until he does. Until Callie begins to trust him. Until she starts to need him. And want him. And . . .
Calista. That quiet voice pulls me around yet again.

I freeze. He’s looking at me. Sorrowful eyes…heavy…inconsolable. A tragedy in blue.

I can’t look away. I begin to feel a dull ache in my left side. {Damien Rice fills my head with “The Blower’s Daughter.”}

His eyes hold mine. They are relentless. The sharpening pain in my side weighs me down, cementing my shoes to their place on the floor. My lips part slightly as my body tries to remember to breathe.

In slow motion almost, he releases me, closing his eyes and clenching them shut. The blue eyes that open back up to me are hard, stony.

He swiftly spins his chair to grab the box of tissues on his bookshelf. Without meeting my eyes, he turns back around and holds the box out to me.

To help you out of here, he says in an almost inaudible voice. What?

Th-thank you, I stammer. I clutch my purse and take six slow steps toward his desk. Three steps at a time. One two three. One two three.

He stares past me, blankly looking at the door. I pull three white tissues from the box he’s holding and turn back to his point of focus. When I get to the silver doorknob, I quickly cover it with the three tissues spread out in my left hand.

            And I’m out.

I’ve done a lot of thinking since my last post, the one detailing the similarities between Callie and me.
Not surprisingly, I’ve found more things that are the same:)
Here we go again!
- Someone did spit on my leg in passing once when I was walking through Oakland in Pittsburgh.  And I DID freak out.
-When I lived with my older sister, I cleaned her room every night before I went to bed.
-My brother jokingly threatens to use my personal bathroom – on a regular basis.  So does my father.
-I write really bad poetry.
-I’m Catholic.
-I despise driving.  I didn’t get my license until I was almost 21.  I’ve spent the 11 years since then avoiding driving as much as possible.
-My mother made me wear lotion and socks on my hands before I went to bed when I was little.  I still do it now when my hands start to crack from over washing.
-I carry the same things Callie carries in her purse . . . and more.
-Crowded grocery stores make me want to explode.  If an aisle is overly crowded (especially if people are stocking the shelves), I am likely to just skip getting an item I want from that area.
-I love love LOVE nachos covered in melted cheese (real cheese) and tomatoes.  And I do know of a place in Pittsburgh that sells the best ones ever J
Okay.  Wow.  Lots of similarities!  Still no relationships with my doctors, though!  For real!
