Written in the third person view between the characters makes the story more well-rounded. It gives me the perspective of all the characters but the one I particularly enjoy reading the most is Raven's. I absolutely love reading about kickass heroines who have really awesome professions that make them struggle between being a woman while gaining the trust others would have for them if they were a man. That's why, it's all the more fruitful when a guy makes them lose the hardened exterior posed to them by the world.
Also, this book reminds me of John Twelve Hawks' The Traveler trilogy. Both heroines have fathers who were in the business and have now passed on the knowledge to them. Their struggles were almost the same with each other save for the other having a happier (?) ending.
Raven is everything you'd ever want in a book; each elements work without overpowering the other. Thus, reading it is a highly enjoyable journey that you'd definitely want to grab the next book in this series.
